By making a booking with Wanderdog, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
These Terms apply in accordance with Dutch law.

1. About Wanderdog
Wanderdog provides professional, welfare-led canine services including:
• Private training
• Behavioural consultations and structured programmes
• Dog walking
• Luxury home-based dog boarding
All services are delivered in accordance with modern behavioural science and animal welfare best practice.

2. Training Philosophy & Methods
Wanderdog operates under a force-free, reward-based training philosophy aligned with the APDT Code of Practice and contemporary scientific standards.
Wanderdog will never:
• Use or promote physical force, intimidation or coercion
• Use aversive equipment including choke chains, prong collars, spray collars, or electronic collars (electric or vibration)
• Permit such equipment in any session
Training and behaviour modification strategies are designed to prioritise:
• Emotional wellbeing
• Safety
• Long-term sustainable results

3. Guardian Responsibilities
The guardian remains legally and practically responsible for their dog at all times.
By booking services, the guardian agrees that:
• Full and accurate behavioural and medical history has been disclosed
• Any history of aggression, bite incidents, anxiety, or safety concerns has been declared prior to sessions
• They will follow safety instructions given by Wanderdog
• Behavioural progress depends on their consistency and implementation
There are no guaranteed outcomes. Behaviour change is influenced by learning history, environment, health, and emotional state.

4. Group Classes
• Dogs must remain on lead at all times unless instructed otherwise.
• Retractable leads are not permitted.
• Dogs must not approach others without consent.
• Wanderdog reserves the right to remove a dog from class if welfare or safety concerns arise.
Missed sessions are non-refundable.
Where possible, online access or recorded material may be offered at Wanderdog’s discretion.

5. Private Training Packages
• Payment is due in full prior to commencement.
• Packages must be used within the stated validity period.
• Unused sessions beyond this period are forfeited.
• 48 hours’ notice is required for rescheduling.

6. Behavioural Programmes
Behaviour packages are considered commenced one week prior to the initial consultation to allow preparation and assessment.
• Full payment is required in advance.
• Follow-up sessions included within packages are considered part of the structured programme and hold no standalone monetary value.
• Refunds are not available once preparation has begun.
Wanderdog reserves the right to terminate a consultation if undisclosed safety risks are identified.

7. Dog Walking Services
7.1 Behaviour Disclosure
Guardians must disclose:
• Aggression history
• Bite history
• Reactivity triggers
• Medical or mobility issues
Wanderdog reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if safety risks are present.

7.2 Equipment & Safety
Dogs must wear:
• A secure harness (preferred) or flat collar
• A fixed-length lead
Off-lead walking will only occur with written consent and where deemed safe and legally permitted.

7.3 Property Access
Where keys or access codes are provided:
• Keys are stored securely and anonymously coded.
• Wanderdog is not liable for pre-existing security faults.

7.4 Emergency Veterinary Care
If a dog becomes ill or injured:
• Reasonable attempts will be made to contact the guardian.
• Veterinary treatment may be sought if necessary.
All veterinary costs remain the guardian’s responsibility.

8. Luxury Home Boarding
8.1 Nature of Service
Boarding is provided within a private home environment. Dogs must be suitable for domestic living.

8.2 Health Requirements
Dogs must:
• Be vaccinated or appropriately titre tested
• Be free from contagious illness
• Be treated for parasites
Dogs showing signs of infectious disease will not be accepted.

8.3 Behavioural Suitability
Guardians must disclose:
• Aggression
• Resource guarding
• Separation distress
• House-soiling
• Escape behaviour
Failure to disclose material information may result in termination of boarding without refund.

8.4 Veterinary Care During Boarding
In emergencies, Wanderdog may seek veterinary care at the guardian’s cost.

8.5 Collection & Non-Collection
• Boarding is charged per night.
• Late collection may incur additional fees.
• Dogs not collected within 48 hours may result in contact with the emergency contact or relevant authorities under Dutch animal welfare law.

9. Payments
• Invoices must be paid by bank transfer by the due date stated.
• A booking is not confirmed until payment is received.
• Prices advertised at time of booking apply.

10. Cancellations & Refunds
Group Classes - Refunds require 7 days’ notice before course commencement.
Private Training - 48 hours’ notice required to reschedule.
Behavioural Packages - Non-refundable once preparation has begun.
Boarding - Cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee depending on notice given.
Wanderdog reserves the right to cancel services due to illness, severe weather, or circumstances beyond reasonable control. Alternative dates will be offered.

11. Children
Children are welcome but must be supervised at all times.
The supervising adult remains fully responsible for the child’s safety and behaviour.

12. Health & Welfare
Guardians must inform Wanderdog if their dog:
• Is unwell
• Has been exposed to infectious disease
• Is experiencing pain or mobility issues
Training will not proceed if a dog appears unfit to participate.

13. Liability
Participation in dog-related activities carries inherent risk.
Wanderdog accepts no liability for:
• Injury caused by undisclosed behavioural history
• Injury between dogs during normal social interaction
• Pre-existing medical conditions
Liability is limited to cases of proven gross negligence or intentional misconduct, in accordance with Dutch Civil Code (Burgerlijk Wetboek).
The guardian remains legally responsible for their dog at all times.

14. Data Protection & Privacy (GDPR / AVG Compliance)
Wanderdog processes personal data in accordance with:
• The General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679
• The Dutch General Data Protection Regulation Implementation Act (UAVG)
Personal data collected may include:
• Name, address, contact details
• Veterinary details
• Dog behavioural and medical information
• Video footage provided for behavioural assessment
Data is processed for:
• Service provision
• Client communication
• Legal and insurance compliance
Data will:
• Be stored securely
• Not be shared with third parties without consent unless legally required
• Be retained only as long as necessary for service and legal obligations
Guardians have the right to:
• Access their data
• Request correction
• Request deletion (where legally permissible)
• Withdraw consent
A separate Privacy Policy is available upon request.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law.
Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent Dutch court.
